Life verse: “I was no prophet, nor a prophet’s son, but I was a herdsman and a dresser of sycamore figs. But the Lord took me from following the flock, and the Lord said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’” -Amos 7:14-15.

Storm Shultz

Storm Shultz is originally from Michigan, but relocated to East Tennessee in her teen years. Storm began her walk with Christ in 2017 and married Michael that same year. Storm is a devoted wife and mother of two precious little girls. She has a heart for missions and children’s programs, but having experienced the loss of two blessed children, Storm has a special love and affection for ministering to mothers who have endured this most severe hardship.

Storm is also an accomplished scholar. She holds degrees in German and English, with advanced fluency in both languages. Storm earned both of her degrees Summa Cum Laude. Not one for idle hands or mind, Storm spends much of her time writing Christian fiction and brainstorming characters. She has published several books in this field (find her books here) and recently had a Biblical fiction story based on the Sermon on the Mount published in an anthology.

Favorite Verse: ““Be still, and know that I am God.
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth!”” -Psalm 46:10

Michael Christian, Deacon.

Michael was saved at Antioch and has been a member since 1969. He was ordained at Antioch as a Deacon in 1986 and has faithfully served as a deacon since then. Michael also serves as Treasurer at Antioch.

A note from the pastor: “Michael Christian is the exemplary deacon. This man has served this church for longer than many of its members have been alive, and while there have been many times wherein a lesser man would have walked away, Michael has stood the test of time and manifested his unrelenting commitment to this church. No matter what is needed, whether it be marking a grave, building an easel for teachers to use in classes, managing the church budget, or helping families in need, Bro. Michael is without doubt the man that can get it done.”

Favorite Verse: ” I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” -Philippians 4:13

Calvin Williams, Deacon.

Calvin was saved at Antioch and has been a member since 1954. Calvin was ordained at Antioch as a Deacon in 1986 and has faithfully served as such since then.

A note from the pastor: “Calvin is a man’s man. At nearly 80 years old, he still cares for all of his cattle, farms his own land, hunts and fishes, and yet he also has a phenomenal way of caring for others that is genuine and peaceable. Despite certainly being the most respected man in the church, he has never lifted his head in pride or flexed his influence. Calvin’s counsel has been so valuable over my years, and my only regret is that future generations will never have an advisor as good as I have had in Calvin Williams.”

Favorite Verse: “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” – Deuteronomy 31:6

Chris Kenner, Youth Pastor and Deacon.
Kelsie Kenner, Director of Christian Education.

Chris was saved at the age of 8 while attending Bellevue Baptist Church and has been a member at Antioch since 1995. Chris has served as Youth Leader since 2013, and was ordained as a Deacon in 2023.

Chris achieved his Bachelor’s degree Summa Cum Laude from Western Kentucky University, and works for his own company, Kenner Randolph Engineering and Surveying, as a land surveyor.

Favorite Verse: ” The Lord is king! Let the earth rejoice! Let the farthest coastlands be glad.Dark clouds surround him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.Fire spreads ahead of him and burns up all his foes.His lightning flashes out across the world. The earth sees and trembles.The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth.The heavens proclaim his righteousness; every nation sees his glory.” -Psalm 97:1-6

Chris is happily married to Kelsie Nabb Kenner.

Kelsie achieved her Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown College with double majors in Psychology and Communication, and achieved her Master of Science degree from WKU in Communication Disorders. Kelsie works as a speech therapist at SKY Rehabilitation Hospital. In 2020, Kelsie began serving as Antioch’s first Director of Christian Education, where she strives to improve the Sunday School experience for the church.

Favorite Scripture: “Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
    his understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the faint,
    and to him who has no might he increases strength.
30 Even youths shall faint and be weary,
    and young men shall fall exhausted;
31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
    they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
    they shall walk and not faint.” -Isaiah 40:28-31

Kelsie and Chris are both model parents to their two sons, Clay and Cohen.

A note from the pastor: “When I came to Antioch, Chris was my first contact. From that point forward, he has never been anything but kind and helpful to me, and that’s saying something because I can be a bother sometimes. As a young couple, the Kenners have stuck with Antioch through times that others would have left without anyone blaming them. The Kenners, however, are the exemplification of fortitude. They are fortified in their commitment to one another, in their commitment as parents, and most importantly they are fortified in their commitment to Christ. Kelsie stepped up the first time she was ever asked to, and Chris has never complained about the many roles he has always been asked to fill. Generations to come will be indebted to these two, as am I.”

Marcie Patterson, Secretary and Clerk.

Marcie was saved at Antioch and has been a member since 1954. She has served as Antioch’s secretary since 2008. Marcie also helps prepare the food on Wednesday nights for the Team Kids program.

A note from the pastor: “Marcie Patterson is the kind of woman that a pastor needs in his church. Week after week, Marcie is at the church bright-and-early. She loves the church and she is devoted to the Lord. She has served the church faithfully for many years, and I know that for many years to come, we will all be grateful that Antioch had someone as detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and capable as her to keep our business in line. Her heart and mind will both be assets that this church would be well-served to remember and appreciate.”

Favorite Verse: ” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” -John 3:16

Jennifer Delk, Custodian.

Jennifer was saved at Antioch and has been a member since 1975. She has served as custodian since 2014, and has a passion for the Operation Christmas Child ministry, overseeing Antioch’s annual donation of upward of 300 boxes. She works year round with OCC in the Bowling Green area, and has also been invited to work in NC at the National Distribution Center. Since 2023, she has also served as the church secretary for Second Baptist Church in Russellville.

A note from the pastor: “To put it directly, Jennifer Delk is the most selfless and courteous person I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. I have never known her to do anything for herself. She has served the church faithfully for years in many roles. Some of those roles are recognizable and would gain you respect. Other of those roles are dirty and generally overlooked. Jennifer, like the Lord, treats the small, undesirable things as being worth doing just as much as the big, prestigious things. Her humility and devotion to the Lord know no bounds. Every church wants and needs a Jennifer Delk.”

Favorite verse: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”-Psalm 23
